6th International Conference on Ultraviolet Radiation and Skin Cancer Prevention

santé publique 12 Dec 2023 Actualités

Skin cancer rates continue to rise in many nations, resulting in very high health system and personal costs, yet these cancers are almost entirely preventable. The 6th International Conference on Ultraviolet Radiation and Skin Cancer Prevention will convene in Queensland, Australia, which holds the unenviable title of the “skin cancer capital of the world”. As such, our community is highly attuned to the hazards of sunlight, and we warmly invite everyone who can contribute to skin cancer prevention from a research, practice or policy perspective to take part in this vibrant forum, staged in the heart of Brisbane. The conference will also include patients, health consumers, and industry representatives. Here, you will hear the latest research findings from global experts and invited keynote speakers, you will exchange vital information on what works to prevent skin cancer (and what does not), and you will experience the newest technologies designed to help protect susceptible populations from the harms of ultraviolet radiation. Free papers from conference participants are strongly encouraged, and will promote the work of the next generation of researchers and practitioners in skin cancer prevention. This meeting is the ‘must-attend’ skin cancer prevention meeting for 2024.

The 6th International Conference on Ultraviolet Radiation and Skin Cancer Prevention is convened by the Australian Skin and Skin Cancer Research Centre, a joint initiative of The University of Queensland and the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.
